We will provide all of our children with a broad, relevant and enriched curriculum so that they have the character to make a positive contribution to our society and are knowledgeable, skilled and ready for the next phase of their education.
At Abbey Mead Primary Academy, Geography is taught through thematically in the afternoons. Our units are carefully planned to ensure that skills and knowledge are built on as the children move through the school. Through teaching Geography, our pupils are equipped with the knowledge about their local world and beyond as well as natural and human geography of those places. Each year group will carry out fieldwork to develop their understanding of Geography and support the development of knowledge, enquiry and research skills.
